Oscar Disasters: Amy Adams’ Necklace, Scarlett Johansson’s Dress, Reece Witherspoon’s Hair, and My Nationals Baseball Cap

Oh, the necklace. Twitter was filled with Amy Adams necklace comments last night. ©The Huffington Post

Twitter was hijacked by Oscar-watching peeps last night. Everyone was snarking over dress, accessories, hair styles and more. Amy Adams, Scarlett Johansson, and Reece Witherspoon were under attack by most tweeting. Now that everyone is exhausted from critiquing Hollywood, I think it is safe to have my very own awards day here without any snarky comments.

Don’t start popping popcorn; there will be no red carpet moment (I am in sweats as I prepare to enter the awards ceremony). My accessory is a pink Nationals baseball cap. And once this post is typed, there will be no after-party for me either; I plan to take Lucky for a walk instead.

The round-up posts of my most popular writing are usually based on page views, but today I decided to share the five posts to receive the most number of comments from April 2010 to today.

Here are the Top Five:

I am Ready to Swim: 54 comments. This post was written about by SITS Girls site last summer and appeared in IndieInk in September. I wrote about the frustration of the in-between phase in life; the time you spend between being married and finalizing a divorce.

When is the Right Time to Tell the Guy you are Seeing About your Blog: 41 comments. I just wrote this piece in February so to have so many comments in a short amount of time means it must have resonated for readers. I was serious about the challenge I face dating and having a blog, but wrote it with humor. How could I not? I have had some crazy encounters dating as a result of this blog.

Beating an Addiction (Except at Baseball Games): 37 comments. What a difficult addiction for me and I can sadly report that my house is stocked right now and I am still consuming regularly. I might give it up for Lent though. Of course I will bring the readers along on the painful journey as I suffer through withdrawal. That is IF I actually give it up.

Mel Gibson and Lindsey Lohan Can’t Overshadow this Special Day: 33 comments. I am convinced this post was so popular because The Rockstar Darren Rowse visited my blog, commented on this post, AND tweeted with me that day. It is still a blogging highlight for me. And I still worship the man.

It’s A Beautiful Day: 30 comments. This is the only Song of the Week to make the top five.

Enjoy the reading! And no snarky comments please. I will be tracking my Twitter feed for the comments people. Be nice!

That necklace! Sigh!! Who the hell is her stylist? I DID NOT GET THAT! Necklace not needed for that dress. Style 101.
    Poor Amy…..

I know! I think he stylist was on vacation. Yes, no necklace needed. She must not have friends either because a friend would not have let her wear that. It’s like letting her walk the carpet with spinach in her teeth.

I love Amy too so that makes it doubly sad.

  2. Aww..Amy, she’s so adorable I can’t hate on her :)
But really, what is the story with the necklace?

Thanks for the reading list..as I’m new to your blog it’ll give me the highlights

Thanks for visiting Rene! I know–I love Amy too, which made it painful to see the ensemble.

  3. I was more upset by the arrival of Helen Mirren’s brand new cheek fillers as well as Halles, which–while settling down a bit in the past few months–are still pretty bizarro.

I was also concerned about the baby sputum on the shoulders of Cate Blanchett….

Her dress is absolutely adorable! I was wondering where in the world she thought that necklace will fit that dress?? and the bracelet too. I love the deep blue color especially.
