A New Adventure Begins

My longtime readers know about Studio30 Plus (S30P), a social media site for writers 30 and older, because I have mentioned it regularly. Several of my posts came from S30P writing prompts; I have written for the magazine; and won a couple of awards, mentioning all of these things here. I also spent several months working on the site with the co-founders Jules and Jerrod.

Studio30 Plus has been a place where I have stretched my writing muscles by participating in writing prompts, engaged in forums and groups, and made a lot of friends. I have received a lot of traffic from Studio30 Plus because of my participation in the site, which is another bonus for being a part of the community. So when Jules approached me about taking over Studio30 Plus, I could not turn down the offer. It is a great site, made up of over 1000 talented writers, that I want to see continue to grow and flourish.

I am happy to take the lead on this site, but I won’t be doing it alone. Joining me is Eric Storch (I Can’t Brain; I Have the Dumb). We are both enthusiastic about the possibilities for the site and look forward to working together. Right now Eric and I are working on creating a survey to send to members. We want to know what people like best, would like to see change, and discover ideas for expanding what is offered. We are also looking for more members for the team. Volunteering increases your visibility for your own writing and site and, well, you probably have better karma too.

I am excited to have an opportunity to run Studio30 Plus and hope many new and old members will find this an invaluable place to connect with writers, improve their writing, expand their readership, and take their blog to the next level. If you are already a member of Studio30 Plus, I hope you will continue to find it a great community. If you have not discovered this site yet, please visit and consider joining (it’s free to join).

I thank Jules and Jerrod for everything they have done to bring us to where we are today as a writing community.

Let the new adventure begin!
