Still Believing in ‘Happily Ever After’

Amy Adams Enchanted

This week you would think Disney was sponsoring posts at Naked Girl in a Dress. David from The Blue Orchid of Texas was my guest and wrote “Interviewing Prince Charming” on Thursday. It’s a piece on what questions to ask a guy before you get in too deep emotionally.

I also wrote all about storybook endings yesterday as I continue to process the love lost and how to move forward, making better choices for myself next time. Hopefully the message is more hope-filled inspiration and not interpreted in a negative happily-ever-after-will-never-happen kind of way. To make that point clear, that I am eternally hopeful, but simply learning to navigate relationships better, I have the perfect Song of the Week. It’s a song from an adorable Disney movie, which of course means it ended with “happily ever after.” Here’s “That’s How You Know” from the movie Enchanted:

Ah, this is one of my favorite movies, and is the only Disney movie soundtrack downloaded to my phone just for that song. Ha, although I’m pretty sure I still know all the songs from A Little Mermaid by heart…keep hanging in there, realizing that not everyone is made for everyone else is the first step towards your happily ever after…

Thanks Shannon. I am growing with each experience.

  3. How is it I haven’t seen this? Oh who am I kidding, you could fill a room or 5 with the things I have yet to see! Have an awesome weekend, well what’s left of it anyway ;)

I am not sure that was really you typing Nicole. What happened to the boy toy advice? That said, you are right with this comment–it’s about what I want it to look like, which is the theme of an upcoming post.
