Yesterday as I was perusing the internet looking for a story idea for Sprocket Ink today, I came across interesting information regarding Anthony Weiner (shocker, huh?). Apparently a dating site is offering Weiner $50,000 to use the infamous crotch shot and have him serve as spokesman for their website.

As a blogger who tweets, posts on Facebook, stumbles, and writes regularly, it is a little frustrating to read a tweet garnered a potential 50K paycheck for Weiner. Yes, he is publicly humiliated and will possibly have to resign. And I am sure he will decline or ignore the offer. But one tweet for 50K. Why doesn’t it work like that in the blogging world?

Seriously? This is worth $50,000?

My blogging buddy David Kaa of The Manwife Chronicles never wears pants and posts images of himself in his underwear all the time. The last time I checked in with David, he had not been offered $50,000 to represent a company.

So this has led to a new business strategy for Naked Girl in a Dress. If you would like to watch it unfold, I recommend you follow me on Twitter, Facebook, and StumbleUpon immediately.

There MIGHT be lewd photos released from these accounts this weekend. Of course I won’t say with complete certainty it is a photo of me though. Well, at least not for a week. Then I will hold a press conference to discuss the photos in question. Then the offers should start to roll in.

It worked for Weiner; maybe a few of us bloggers should try it.

As I kick off my new business strategy, Barenaked Ladies seems to be appropriate for Song of the Week. Here’s “Pollywog in a Bog.”

It might seem an odd choice, but Monkey chose it. Here’s what he said about it, ” It’s funny AND appropriate for kids to watch.” Of course I haven’t let him read this blog post and I don’t recommend you letting your kids read about Weiner’s crotch, but maybe skip ahead and let your kids watch the video. It is really cute.

Happy Friday!
