red clockFall back.

Two of the best words this time of year. I become gleeful over the idea of having an extra hour.  I would prefer sixty minutes each day though. It seems one thing holding me back from accomplishing more is time; I lack enough of it.

If I could add one hour a day to my life, here are some things I would do:

  • Expand my training schedule.
  • Increase my writing frequency.
  • Clean my house thoroughly, and keep it that way.
  • Read more books, and catch up on the pile of unread magazines.
  • Spend more time behind the lens of my camera.
  • Complete a couple of website projects on my business to do list.

There’s more, but these are the items I think about daily. As I look at the list, it makes me happy to realize there are areas of my life I feel good about–they don’t belong on the list. Quality time with my kids is one example.

I know gaining an hour a day isn’t going to happen, but that doesn’t mean I can’t find the time on my own. Within the 24 hours I have each day, there is time that could be used more productively. Being more efficient when working is one example. Setting my alarm an hour earlier is another great way to accomplish more in a day.

What would you do with an extra 365 hours?

Can you find an extra time in your day to achieve your goals?
