Unknown Mami encourages us to “travel the world together.” Each Sunday she invites bloggers to show photos of their communities and link up to her blog. I have enjoyed participating the last few weeks. I hope you enjoy the photos as I share my activities with you.
In the last week I made a trip to Union Station in Washington, D.C and also to Annapolis, Maryland.
Enjoy!

Love DC and Annapolis! I am from Maryland, but moved to Florida 11 years ago and I miss it up there so much! In fact, we are leaving in the morning for a short trip to MD and will definitely spend a day in Annapolis.
If you like sushi, I highly recommend Joss Cafe and Sushi Bar on Main Street in Annapolis. It is beautifully presented, creative, and great quality.
Enjoy your trip to Maryland!
I’m never tried sushi before but I just might have to check it out.
thanks!
Beautiful city, beautiful photos. Someday I hope to actually visit there in person. Thanks for the highlights.
Cheers, jj

Let me know if you plan a trip. I would be happy to give you travel tips. It’s a great city!
Oh my gosh, I love this idea! Can anyone play along? I live in Williamsburg and could definitely find some things to shoot. We get some interesting tourists here! Love the black and white of Union Station.
Tanya,
Yes, anyone can participate. Click on the “Sundays in My City” button in the post. It will take you to Unknown Mami’s site. All the instructions are on her site. It is fun to do each Sunday and I am enjoying getting to know a different group of bloggers through the link-up. Let me know if you participate; I would love to see your images on Sunday as well.
Great pics — that shot of sushi almost makes me want to try some. I certainly need more pretty food in my life.
Grimmgirl,
Come back to visit again. You can always find “pretty food” here. It is my favorite subject to shoot!
You sure do take some nice pictures. I really like that colorful one of the sneakers.
The sunflowers are beautiful and although I’m not a fan of sushi..that looks incredible!!!
Great idea.
I always tell people how beautiful Union Station is. They look at me with their head tilted and with a puzzled look on their faces.
I would take the train 2-3 times a week to go into NY for work and I loved it early morning before the shops were opened to walk around and window shop. Then in the afternoon when it was a flurry of activity and the restaurants were buzzing as well as the shops.
I have only lived in the metro area for 10 yrs so I am still discovering so much.
thanks for the photo’s and great idea.
I may have to steal it myself. :-)
You do a great job of photographing food, which is deceptively hard to make look good in pictures.
I think that sunflowers might be the most photogenic flowers ever.
Thanks! I enjoy photographing food so I am glad it comes through in my images. I love the sunflower shot. I don’t have any of my own framed images in my house, but I think I will enlarge and frame the sunflowers.
Thank you so much for the Sunday link-up. I see a few of my blogging buddies are now participating as well.
Your posts made me miss D.C. so much. So very, very much. I can almost smell the Metro.
Libby~
Smelling the Metro. Not sure much to miss there! (: It is a great city.
Great shots Kelly! Food is definitely your forté.
Ethan,
i feel that way too. I seem to get good food shots consistently. I guess that is a good thing since I do want to focus on that area of photography.
Thanks!
